Andrew Fisher

Professor Andrew Fisher is Chief Medical Officer at FibroFind, providing clinical and academic insight that helps align the company’s human tissue models with the realities of progressive fibrotic disease and therapeutic development.

With more than 20 years’ experience as an NHS consultant physician, Andrew has seen first-hand the limitations of existing treatment approaches for patients with advanced fibrotic disease. Alongside his clinical work at Newcastle Hospitals and research leadership at Newcastle University, he has collaborated with FibroFind for several years, bringing deep expertise in advanced lung disease, transplantation and human diseased tissue.

As CMO, Andrew supports FibroFind’s strategic development and helps ensure its models reflect unmet clinical needs. His contribution strengthens how highly characterised human tissue is applied to evaluate candidate therapeutics, generate decision-relevant evidence and accelerate promising treatments towards clinical trials.
